The Castle Restaurant has long been lauded as one of the finest restaurants in England. This is the restaurant where Gary Rhodes and Phil Vickery were encouraged to develop their prodigious talents based on Kit Chapman’s campaign (his ‘English Project’) to rehabilitate England’s culinary repertoire.
Now Head Chef, Richard Guest, wears the celebrity crown as he raises the culinary bar still higher with his own exceptional talent. His award winning book published in 2007 by Berlinn is entitled ‘Jam with Lamb’ and is a celebration of the West Country’s rich larder.
